FRSSiteMgr helps you maintain information about web sites that you manage. It is intended to be used by webmasters.
When you first create your web site, there is a lot of information to keep track of with regard to registering your domain name. Then, if you need to get some space on a server to host your web site, the web hosting company will flood you with all sorts of details about how to connect to their server, etc. If you use two different companies for these two services, then you need to communicate information from one to the other. Once it is all set up, you will be good to go. But, over the years, this information tends to get lost.
That is where FRSSiteMgr comes in. It provides data entry fields for all the key information, which you can enter if so desired. All fields are optional. If you enter the renewal dates, the application will show you in the "Overview" tab when the renewals are due. It is easy to forget to pay for your renewal, and then your web site is down/gone for several days.
The classic Windows desktop look of the application makes it immediately intuitive to use. After a web site project has been added, you can set any of the settings, all are optional. The application provides data entry fields for all important data that you will want to keep track of for your web site. The "Overview" tab provides a quick overview of critical data, if they have been provided. Click on a tab on the left to see its settings in the rest of the window.
When you start FRSSiteMgr for the first time, it will kick off a search on your computer's disk drive looking for what would be considered typical home page files. It will show what it finds so that you can select which ones are your web sites that you want to manage within FRSSiteMgr. If you prefer, you can cancel this search and just manually set up your web site or web sites (this is especially the case if you don't maintain your web site's files on your computer, for example, you have an outside contractor maintain your web site files for you).
We are currently working on turning this application into a full-blown web site editor and management tool, that will contain everything a typical webmaster who maintains his/her own site needs to get the job done.
FRSSiteMgr comes with a one-time, 21-day trial period during which you can use the full functionality of the application for free. There are no artificial limitations imposed within the application during that time period. When the free trial period is over, you must purchase a license for FRSSiteMgr, to continue to use it. All of the data you entered during the free trial period will still be there after you have paid for your license. There is no separate download required after you have purchased your license. The status bar indicates how many days you have remaining in your free trial period.
FRSSiteMgr data and settings are stored in binary files on your computer. Our products never upload your data to our server nor any third-party server. Our products do not report your interaction with our products to our server nor any third-party server. An Internet connection is not required to use our products. Please note that individuals who have access to your physical computer could potentially have access to your copy of FRSSiteMgr and the data you store in it. Always protect your computer from outside access by setting a strong password on it.
FRSSiteMgr does not upload any information to the Fourth Ray Software web site nor to any third-party server. We do reserve the right to communicate your FRSSiteMgr license number during a product upgrade check in a future version, so that we may verify your paid-for version. However, this is currently not being done.
When automatic upgrading is enabled (under your control), FRSSiteMgr connects to the Fourth Ray Software server, if your computer has an Internet connection active, to determine if a new version of FRSSiteMgr has been released by Fourth Ray Software. It compares the latest version number listed on the server against the version you have installed. If a new version has been released, the new software installation program will be downloaded to your computer, and FRSSiteMgr will automatically run that upgrade when you close the application (you will see a notification window). See the application's documentation center for how to disable automatic upgrades, if so desired.
