About FRSPCReboot

FRSPCReboot is a command-line utility that causes your computer to reboot.

It skips all the clicking and confirming that Windows makes you do when you try to reboot your computer. FRSPCReboot calls the exact same system function that Windows itself uses, so all of your applications will be able to gracefully shut down, and prompt you to save their data, if applicable.

Using FRSPCReboot

FRSPCReboot displays no user interface. This is done on purpose, so that you can use it within a .bat file or other scripting file, to trigger the computer to be rebooted after your script does some work. Or, simply double-click on the application's icon on the Windows Desktop, if you had the installation program create a shortcut for you there.

To use FRSPCReboot in a Windows command-line batch file (e.g. "myscript.bat"), do the following:

That's all!

Download FRSPCReboot

The current version is 1.2.0, which was released on February 25, 2020. It requires only about 2.5MB of disk space (most of that is for the uninstall program).

This version of FRSPCReboot is intended to be used on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10, but feel free to try it on older versions of Windows, if you have a need for that. It most likely will not work on Windows 98 and older, but might work on Windows NT and Windows 2000.

FRSPCReboot is free to use (see license agreement). Contains no nasties, such as malware, ads, viruses, tracking, etc. We just want this simple application to positively enhance your use of your computer. Enjoy!
