This was our fourth year setting up in this mall, which is located in Texas City, Texas, just north of the causeway to Galveston. The mall has had some economic difficulties, but it is now under new ownership. The mall insisted that we do the show anyway so as to draw visitors to the mall. There were about 5 other operating layouts in addition to ours as well as several vendors. Even though the crowds were very, very thin, we still had a great time. This was a fairly typical scene... our layout with a few visitors occasionally.

This show debuted Don's two new modules. They are two four-foot modules each with a spur. They are also the first ones to use the Fast Tracks Bullfrog manual turnout controls, which worked wonderfully when operators switched cars in and out of the spurs.

Steve is staring down the mall eagerly anticipating the large crowds. Despite the lack of people, we still had a good time playing with our trains.

At each show we try to place literature, including brochures to promote S scale, to promote the NASG, and to promote our club and this web site.

We had passenger trains aplenty, as if the '50s had never left.

But there was lots of freight, too!
