This year we were set up by the ticket counters in the museum's main hall. As in previous years, we had enough space to set up the main 10 modules, but no space for the stanchions. This photo shows the "back" view of the layout with the freight yard on the left. Don is in the center of the layout keeping a close eye on his train. Asher, visible on the far left, is running Rusty's train shown in the foreground.
This photo shows the other side of the layout, featuring the passenger yard and station.
The show was well-attended on Saturday, and significantly lighter on Sunday. After a brief electrical short issue on Saturday morning (before opening hours), the layout and trains performed well all day.
Sunday, however, was a different story. By about mid-day the internal freight line shut down (the cause of which is still unknown), and the passenger line shut down about an hour later. After diagnosing the problem, but finding no direct cause, that line was operational again after about an hour.
Since we were near the front door, for tear-down we were able to park the trailer on the street, which helped us to load the modules fairly quickly.
